A town where somebody is usually home
Safety Harbor is small, shaded and residential, and the work reflects that. Most of what we do here is interior, in houses with somebody in them all day. That changes the job more than the paint does.
One room at a time, a clear path from the front door to the kitchen, and the tools packed away in the evening instead of left across a floor somebody has to step over at seven in the morning. Furniture gets moved and covered rather than shoved into a corner and hoped for.
The housing runs from mid century block near the water up through eighties and nineties building on the streets climbing away from the bay. Inside, that mostly means textured walls, textured or popcorn ceilings, and trim that has been painted enough times for the profile to have gone soft.

Trim, doors and where a job gets judged
Nobody looks at the middle of a wall. They look at the line where the wall meets the ceiling, the edge where the wall meets the casing, and the face of a door they open twenty times a day. That is where a paint job is decided.
Cut lines get done by hand with a brush. Tape helps on a few surfaces and it is a liability on texture, where paint creeps under the edge and leaves you a worse line than a steady hand would have given you in half the time.
Doors come off the hinges and get finished flat where it makes sense. A door painted hanging in its frame collects a run along the bottom edge and picks up roller texture across the face, and you feel both every single time you use it.
Repairs, and the walk through at the end
A lot of what looks like a painting problem is a repair wearing paint. A stain on a ceiling, a hole where a shelf pulled out, popped nails down a hallway, a bad texture patch from somebody else. All of that is drywall work and it is ours, so it gets fixed and primed on the same visit.
One customer wrote that our team did a drywall repair and painted three rooms, that the repair work was perfect and that all three rooms looked amazing. Another had us paint the outside of the same house a couple of years earlier and said the neighbors kept complimenting it.

Not much and not for long. Interior paint is water based and low odor now, and we keep air moving with the door shut on the room we are in. Most rooms are back in use the same day.

Where it makes sense, yes. A door done flat has no run along the bottom edge and no roller texture on the face, and you notice the difference every time you close it.
